Alpine currently has three custom-designed systems, each uniquely configured for the types of data it contains. These systems are for CSAP, NWEA, and Literacy data. In addition, a general data warehouse system is being field tested in fall 2006. Colorado Assessment Reporting System (for CSAP) The CSAP system is the most elaborate of the systems available from Alpine. We incorporate the ever-changing file specifications and inclusion rules, rescaling of historic data, item maps, and state-level disaggregated data into the system. Output is available as interactive graphics, PDF reports, and spreadsheets for the district, schools, disaggregated groups, user-defined groups, and individual students. Alpine produces AYP reports, SAR impact reports, and longitudinal summaries in addition to performance reports that plot subscores for individual students and groups of students. Some sample report output appears below. NWEA reports incorporate the national norms and are designed around the NWEA RIT scale. Alpine incorporates the state-aligned cut points on the RIT scale directly into the report output, adding an additional level of convenience and relevance to the results. Alpine's NWEA system includes downloadable roster spreadsheets of student results, individual student reports, and interactive graphs like the ones in the sample below. It includes an interface for teachers to enter their assessment results (or these can be uploaded centrally). Checklists and additional literacy information also are noted by the teacher. The system is then able to generate summary reports for individual students and individual instructional plans for struggling readers. The system helps the teacher to make connections between students' identified needs and associated research-based instructional strategies. The reports allow you to follow students on individual plans across time and produce output that can be used for local, state, and federal accountability.
